Chicxulub is a spot on the north coast of Yucatan, on the Gulf of Mexico near Progreso. The Nortes and easterly trade winds offer regular flat water conditions on a very shallow body of water.
The shallow depth and absence of waves make it an ideal spot for beginners, with a safe sandy bottom.
