Kite Island is a spot located in Barnegat Bay, between the mainland and Long Beach Island. This small island in the bay offers an excellent playground for flat water kitesurfing. The shallows around the island allow standing and the bay provides good wind fetch. Very popular spot with local kiters.
Flat Barnegat Bay waters around the island. Little chop. Extended shallows allowing standing. Moderate tidal currents. Sandy and muddy bottom.
