Weko Beach is a kitesurf spot located on the eastern shore of Lake Michigan, in Bridgman, southwestern Michigan, near the Indiana border. This municipal beach offers direct west exposure on Lake Michigan with beautiful dunes as backdrop. The position in extreme southern Michigan provides slightly warmer water than northern spots. Regular waves in west winds.

Lake Michigan water body with full west exposure. West to northwest winds generate waves of 1 to 2 meters. Cold but slightly warmer water than the northern lake — full wetsuit required except in midsummer. Sandy bottom with gradual slope. Longshore currents possible in strong winds. Good surf conditions.
Longshore and rip currents possible in strong west winds. Cold Lake Michigan water with hypothermia risk. Dunes can create turbulence near shore. Frequent swimmers in summer. Violent thunderstorms possible with lightning risk — exit water immediately. Near Cook Nuclear Plant (no danger but good visual landmark).
