Tiscornia Park is a kitesurf spot located on the eastern shore of Lake Michigan, in St. Joseph, north of the St. Joseph River channel. This park offers access to the north beach, slightly less crowded than Silver Beach south of the channel. The twin St. Joseph lighthouses at the end of the north pier are among Michigan's most photographed. The west exposure offers excellent wave conditions in prevailing winds.

Lake Michigan water body with full west exposure. West to northwest winds generate waves of 1 to 2 meters. Cold water — full wetsuit required except in midsummer. Sandy bottom with gradual slope. Longshore currents possible in strong winds. The north pier with twin lighthouses provides an excellent visual reference from the water.
Longshore and rip currents possible in strong west winds. Channel jetties to absolutely avoid — very dangerous currents, powerful waves breaking on the pier. Boat traffic in the channel. Cold Lake Michigan water with hypothermia risk. Swimmers in summer. Violent thunderstorms possible with lightning risk — exit water immediately.
