Seaside Park Bayside is located on the west side of the Seaside Park peninsula, facing Barnegat Bay. This bay spot offers flat and shallow waters, ideal for beginners and learning. The shallow bay allows standing for a great distance. Conditions very different from the ocean side of the peninsula.
Flat and shallow Barnegat Bay waters. Very little chop. Sandy and muddy bottom. Weak to moderate tidal currents. Depth often less than 1 meter for a great distance.

Muddy bottom making walking difficult in some areas. Very shallow areas at low tide. Aquatic grass can be an obstacle. Boat traffic in the bay in summer.
