Pipeline (Banzai Pipeline) is THE most famous and dangerous break in the world, located on Oahu's North Shore at Ehukai Beach Park. Hollow, tubular waves break over an extremely shallow coral reef, creating the most perfect and deadly tubes on the planet. Kitesurfing is STRICTLY reserved for world-class riders capable of handling massive waves, barrels, and a razor-thin water column over reef. In summer, conditions are calm. Surfing localism is among the most intense in the world — absolute respect is mandatory.

Warm water year-round (24-27°C/75-80°F), no wetsuit needed. In winter (October-April), North Pacific swells create MASSIVE tubular waves of 10 to 20+ feet breaking over a coral reef just 2 feet deep. It is one of the most dangerous and most photographed waves in the world. In summer, water is calm and flat. Extreme currents in big swell. The reef bottom is unforgiving.
MOST DANGEROUS SPOT IN THE WORLD — Pipeline has caused numerous deaths including professional surfers. Coral reef less than 2 feet below the surface — impact on reef at speed = severe injury or death. Hollow, tubular waves of extreme power. Devastating currents. EXTREME surfing localism — locals are very protective of their spot. NEVER ride without perfect knowledge of conditions and local protocol. Sharks (tiger sharks) very frequent. Protected turtles. Whales from December to April.
