Roque Bluffs State Park is a remote spot in Downeast Maine, near the Canadian border. This state park features a beach on Englishman Bay with southern exposure to the Atlantic. It's one of the northeasternmost kitesurf spots in the United States, in a wild and preserved environment.
Ocean conditions in the bay with filtered swell. Extremely cold water year-round — thick full wetsuit essential (5/4mm minimum). Among the most significant tides on the US East Coast. Mixed bottom of sand, pebbles, and rocks.
