Ilha de Armona is a barrier island within the Ria Formosa Natural Park, accessible by ferry from Olhão (15 min). The ocean side has miles of deserted beach — wild, pristine Atlantic coastline. The lagoon side offers flat, shallow water at high tide.

Less organized for kiting than Fuseta or Cabanas — more of an adventure spot for experienced riders. Bring your own gear, self-rescue capability essential. The island village has a few restaurants and basic facilities.
