Praia do Malhão is one of the most beautiful wild beaches in the Alentejo, 9 km north of Vila Nova de Milfontes. Part of the Vicentine Coast Natural Park, it has kept its untouched, savage character — dramatic rocks, golden sand, stunning sunsets.

Primarily a surf spot with a surf school on the beach. Kite is possible but the wind is inconsistent — the NW Nortada often blows offshore on this west-facing coast. When it works (good thermal days), conditions can be excellent with clean waves and space. Northern section is nudist-friendly.

Two large parking areas and public toilets. No other facilities — bring everything you need.
