Huisduinen (Den Helder) is a North Sea kitespot at the very tip of Noord-Holland, between two jetties. The pier provides some protection, offering flat to choppy water in moderate conditions and small waves with stronger winds. Best with winds from N, NW or W.
Famous as the starting point for experienced riders wanting to kite around or toward the uninhabited sand island Razende Bol (Noorderhaaks) — a unique adventure in the Wadden Sea. Best season: June–July and October–March. More info: NKV Spotkaart
GPS: Huisduinen beach, Den Helder, Noord-Holland. Access via N9/N250 to Den Helder, then Huisduinen direction. Parking near beach. For Razende Bol crossing: expert riders, local knowledge essential, go with group. Year-round. Den Helder town: full facilities.

North Sea + Marsdiep channel — choppy to waves. Strong tidal currents. Cold year-round: 5/4mm winter, 3/2mm summer minimum. Advanced level. Razende Bol crossing: expert currents crossing. Salt water. No standing area (deep from shore).
N/NW/W/NE best for main beach. SW gives offshore Marsdiep conditions. Year-round. Best Oct–Mar. Gateway to Razende Bol (expert crossing only). Strong conditions typical — not for beginners.
Flat to choppy water between the jetties — stronger currents and small waves with strong winds. Starting point for downwind rides toward the nature island Razende Bol (Noorderhaaks) — advanced riders only. Tidal currents in Marsdiep channel can be very strong.
