Katwijk aan Zee offers 3 distinct kite club zones on its North Sea beach. From south to north: zone 1A (KWV Skuytevaert), zone 5 (KBS), zone 23 (Airtime). All clubs offer day membership (€5, max 5 times) — a coloured safety vest is required within club zones. October to March: free access without club membership.

SW/W/NW/N/NE onshore. Wind typically 15–25 knots in good season. Year-round accessible. Best months: March–May and September–November. Conditions similar to Scheveningen but slightly less crowded.
Water gets deep quickly with strong currents and waves — not suitable for beginners. Coloured safety vest required within club zones (provided by the clubs). From October through March, kitesurfing outside the club zones is permitted. In summer, strictly stay within your club zone.
