Bergen aan Zee is a wide sandy beach on the Noord-Holland North Sea coast, accessible year-round for kitesurfing. It sits within the Nationaal Park Noord-Hollands Duinreservaat — kitesurfing is only permitted in the designated club zone (Natura 2000 surroundings). The beach is well-exposed to NW–SW winds with small to medium waves.
Kite school on-site: Kitesurfschool Hangloose (via Surfschool Bergen aan Zee). Beach pavilion "De Jongens" provides food and drink.
Ideal for intermediate and advanced riders. Open year-round.

Stay within the kite zone — the surrounding area is part of Nationaal Park Noord-Hollands Duinreservaat (Natura 2000). Small to medium waves depending on conditions. Strong currents with westerly winds. Not recommended for beginners.
SW/W/NW/N/NE onshore. SW dominant (strongest Oct–March). Beautiful consistent conditions when wind comes from W/NW. Less crowded than Wijk aan Zee. Year-round viable.
