Part of the same North Sea beach complex near the entrance to the Noordzeekanaal. Wide beach, SW/W/NW onshore winds. Shallow water sections near the pier. NKV designated zone — check current zone rules on site.
Large car park at Zuidpier. GPS: Zuidpier, IJmuiden, Noord-Holland. Access from A9/A22, signs IJmuiden. Zone 3 (IJmuiderslag) accessible by walking south along the beach. Check current NKV zone rules on site boards.
Choppy to light waves. Freeride and foil. Zone 3 accessible on foot from the Zuidpier parking.
