Overview

Sestri Levante is an elegant seaside resort on the Riviera di Levante, known for its "Baia del Silenzio" (Bay of Silence) and its "Baia delle Favole" (Bay of Fables). The spot is located on the beach of the Bay of Fables, facing south-east.

The Scirocco (SE) arrives onshore on this south-east facing coast, creating wave conditions. The Libeccio (SW) blows side-shore. The isthmus connecting Sestri Levante to the peninsula creates a unique geographical setting.

Hazards
Shore break with SE swell. Rocks at the ends of the bays. Currents between the two bays. Very crowded beach in summer. Limited space.
