Spot de Paestum

Paestum

Paestum

Overview

Paestum is a kitesurfing spot located on the Cilento coast, facing the famous Greek temples listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The long sandy beach stretches along the Gulf of Salerno, offering a unique setting between archaeology and water sports. The spot is exposed to west to northwest winds (Maestrale, Ponente) arriving side-shore to onshore on this west-facing coast. The Libeccio (SW) also blows well. The beach is wide and the body of water open, with conditions that can become challenging in strong westerly swell. Sailing in front of the Paestum temples is a unique experience, blending ancient history and modern riding.
