Mandeville Harbor is a kitesurf spot on the north shore of Lake Pontchartrain, in the charming town of Mandeville. The launch is near the marina, offering direct access to the lake's shallow waters. The Northshore is known for its quieter, more residential setting compared to New Orleans. The spot benefits from excellent south fetch thanks to the 25 miles of lake in that direction. The Pontchartrain Causeway, the longest bridge over water in the world, is visible to the west.
Open all year round
Intermediate

Sudden tropical thunderstorms in summer with violent lightning — leave the water without delay. Alligators present in adjacent bayous and marshes. Boat traffic near the marina. The lake can build up quickly in sustained south winds. Floating debris possible.
