Pere Marquette Beach is a kitesurf spot located on the eastern shore of Lake Michigan, in Muskegon, Michigan. This is Muskegon's main beach on Lake Michigan, offering a wide sand strip with direct west exposure. The channel leading to Muskegon Lake is nearby with its iconic lighthouse. West and northwest winds generate regular waves, making this one of the most popular spots on the Muskegon coast.
Lake Michigan water body with full west exposure. West to northwest winds generate waves of 1 to 2 meters, sometimes more in storms. Cold water — full wetsuit required except in midsummer (July-August). Sandy bottom with gradual slope. Longshore currents possible. Good regular surf conditions.

Longshore and rip currents possible in strong west winds. Muskegon channel jetties to avoid — dangerous currents. Boat traffic in the channel. Cold Lake Michigan water with hypothermia risk.
