Sturgeon Bay is a kitesurf spot located in a sheltered bay on Lake Michigan, in northern Lower Michigan, near Mackinaw City. This bay offers natural protection from open lake waves, creating a calmer water body for riding. The area is near the Straits of Mackinac and benefits from regular winds channeled by the geography. Wild natural setting with little urban development.

Very cold water — thick full wetsuit required, drysuit recommended in spring and fall. Sandy bottom. Winds channeled by the nearby Straits of Mackinac offer regular conditions.
