Sherwood Island State Park is Connecticut's oldest coastal state park, located in Westport on Long Island Sound. This park offers a long sandy beach with direct Sound access and plenty of space for kite launching. The park is well maintained with full facilities (parking, restrooms, picnic areas). It's one of the most spacious spots in Connecticut for kitesurfing, offering more room than neighboring municipal beaches. Panoramic views of the Sound and Long Island.
