Puukolii Beach sits on Maui's west coast in the Kaanapali area, between Kaanapali and Honokowai beaches. This spot benefits from northeast trade winds channeled around the West Maui Mountains, blowing from the north/northeast in the afternoon. The water is semi-sheltered, providing accessible conditions for intermediate riders. The beach is less crowded than main Kaanapali Beach, offering more space for launching. Stunning views of Molokai and Lanai.
Open all year round

Humpback whales from December to April — federal law requires 100 yards distance. Swimmers may be in the area. Moderate currents along the shore.
