Lido Beach is located on Lido Key, a barrier island west of Sarasota. The west-facing beach on the Gulf of Mexico offers white sand and turquoise waters. The spot is near the famous St. Armands Circle and Sarasota restaurants. For flat water, the nearby South Lido Beach spot (southern tip of the island) offers better 360° exposure.

Busy tourist beach. Stingrays in shallow waters. Jellyfish possible. Longshore drift current. New Pass to the north can generate currents.
