Clearwater Beach is one of the most famous beaches in Florida, located on a barrier island facing the Gulf of Mexico. Regularly voted among the best beaches in the USA, it offers fine white sand and turquoise waters. Kitesurfing is possible with west winds, but the beach is extremely touristy. Local riders often prefer the nearby Dunedin Causeway spot for flat water.

Extremely busy beach with tourists and swimmers. No dedicated kitesurfing zone. Heavy boat traffic with tour boats and jet-skis. Currents in the pass. Stingrays and jellyfish possible. Follow local regulations.
