Neptune Beach is a small beach community on the Atlantic coast between Jacksonville Beach to the south and Atlantic Beach to the north. The east-facing beach offers surf and kitesurfing conditions typical of northeast Florida's coast. Local and laid-back atmosphere, less touristy than Jacksonville Beach. Good spot with northeast and southeast winds.

Atlantic Ocean waters with moderate to strong waves. Sandy bottom with sandbars. North-south longshore drift current. North Atlantic swell in winter. Cool water in winter (wetsuit needed December to March). Similar conditions to Jacksonville Beach.
Longshore and rip currents. Sharks present in the area. Frequent jellyfish. Powerful shore break with large swell. Possible submerged rocks (coquina rock formations). Swimmers on the beach.
