Hammonasset Beach State Park is the largest shoreline state park in Connecticut, located in Madison on Long Island Sound. This vast spot offers a long sandy beach with shallow waters, ideal for sailing. The park is very popular in summer and has numerous facilities including parking, restrooms, and picnic areas. Access requires a park entrance fee.
