West Haven is a kitesurfing spot in West Haven, Connecticut, on Long Island Sound, just west of New Haven. The town has one of the longest public beaches in Connecticut, offering plenty of space for kitesurfing. The south-facing beach benefits from good fetch in the Sound. West Haven is easily accessible from I-95 and downtown New Haven. It's the main spot for the New Haven area kite community, offering free beach access.
