Overview

Vero Beach is a Treasure Coast resort town, on the barrier island between the Atlantic Ocean and the Indian River. The east-facing beach offers golden sand and kitesurfing conditions with east and northeast winds. Vero Beach is known for its upscale atmosphere and sea turtle conservation programs. The Gulf Stream passes relatively close to the coast in this area.
