Jupiter Inlet is a kitesurfing spot located at the mouth of the Loxahatchee River into the Atlantic Ocean, marked by the historic Jupiter Lighthouse. It's a technical spot reserved for experienced riders due to strong tidal currents in the inlet and the proximity of the jetties. In northeast winds (cold fronts), quality waves form around the inlet, attracting kitesurfers and surfers. The easterly trade winds also provide good conditions. Jupiter is a popular beach town in northern Palm Beach County, with a preserved natural setting.

The water body combines the Atlantic Ocean and the Loxahatchee River mouth. In northeast winds, waves of 3-6 feet form near the jetties, offering good wave riding conditions. In easterly trade winds, sustained chop offshore. Tidal currents in the inlet are powerful and change direction with the tide. The water is warm, influenced by the Gulf Stream. The Jupiter Lighthouse is an iconic landmark visible from the water.
Tidal currents in the inlet are extremely strong — do not ride in the channel. Stay away from the rock jetties (risk of being thrown onto them by waves). Boat traffic in the inlet is heavy. Spot reserved for experienced riders only. In heavy swells, conditions can become dangerous quickly.
