Overview

South End of Honeymoon Island is the southern tip of Honeymoon Island State Park, accessible from the Dunedin Causeway. The west-facing beach offers an open view of the Gulf of Mexico with Hurricane Pass to the south separating Honeymoon Island from Caladesi Island. The state park is well-maintained with nature trails, ospreys and sea turtles during nesting season.

Gulf of Mexico waters with moderate waves. Sandy bottom with shells. Currents in Hurricane Pass to the south. Warm and generally clear water. Extended sandbars at low tide, especially at the southern tip.
