South End of Honeymoon Island is the southern tip of Honeymoon Island State Park, accessible from the Dunedin Causeway. The west-facing beach offers an open view of the Gulf of Mexico with Hurricane Pass to the south separating Honeymoon Island from Caladesi Island. The state park is well-maintained with nature trails, ospreys and sea turtles during nesting season.

Strong currents in Hurricane Pass. State park with entrance fee. Stingrays in shallow waters. Possible sharks near the pass. Sea turtle nesting area to respect (May-October).
