Caladesi Island is a barrier island accessible only by boat (ferry from Honeymoon Island or by sea). Ranked among the most beautiful natural beaches in the USA, the island offers a wild and preserved environment. Kitesurfing is reserved for advanced riders due to isolation and lack of rescue services. Hurricane Pass separates the island from Honeymoon Island to the north.
Very clear and warm Gulf of Mexico waters. Pristine beach with sandy bottom. Currents in Hurricane Pass to the north and Dunedin Pass to the south. Extended sandbars at low tide. Surf conditions possible with strong west wind.
