Kelly Park is a kitesurfing spot located on Merritt Island, on the west side of the Banana River Lagoon, facing the lagoon. This park offers access to the same flat water lagoon as 520 Slick, but from the Merritt Island side. Conditions are similar — flat and shallow water — with a bit more launching space. The park is well maintained and offers a pleasant base for sessions. Merritt Island is known for its wildlife (national refuge) and proximity to the Kennedy Space Center.

Same lagoon as 520 Slick — Banana River, flat water, shallow, sandy and seagrass bottom. All wind directions work. The water is warm and brackish. Views of Kennedy Space Center facilities from the water.
Stingrays in seagrass. Manatees and dolphins frequent the lagoon — respect these protected species. Alligators possible near Merritt Island shores (rare in salt water but possible). KSC restriction zones. Mosquitoes.
