Wickaninnish Beach is part of the Pacific Rim National Park, south of Long Beach, between Tofino and Ucluelet. This west-facing spot receives direct Pacific swells. Shorter sandy beach than Long Beach but with similar conditions. The Wickaninnish Interpretive Centre is located on the rocky headland at the south end of the beach.
Powerful Pacific ocean waves. Sandy bottom. Constant W to NW swell. Rocks at beach extremities. Powerful shore break. Very cold water (7-12°C). Rip currents possible.
