Cherie Down Park is a public beach in Cape Canaveral, on the Atlantic coast of the Space Coast. The east-facing beach offers direct ocean access with parking and facilities. The spot is located between the NASA/SpaceX launch zones to the north and Cocoa Beach to the south. Kitesurfers can sometimes see rocket launches from the water.
Atlantic waters with moderate waves. Sandy bottom. North-south longshore drift current. Northeast swell in winter. Moderately warm water. Similar conditions to Cocoa Beach to the south.

Longshore and rip currents. Sharks present. Jellyfish. Watch for beach closures during space launches. Port Canaveral to the north generates cruise ship traffic.
