Sand Key Park is a public park located on the Sand Key barrier island, just south of Clearwater Beach Pass. The west-facing beach offers an open view of the Gulf of Mexico. It is a popular spot for kitesurfing and wingfoil with west and northwest winds blowing from the Gulf. The park has a large parking lot and public facilities.

Possible currents near Clearwater Beach Pass to the north. Many swimmers and tourists. Stingrays in shallow waters. Jellyfish in season. Respect designated water sports zones.
