Souris Beach is a kitesurfing spot located on the east coast of Prince Edward Island, in the community of Souris, overlooking Colville Bay. This fine sand beach is one of the gems of kitesurfing in the Canadian Maritimes, offering varied conditions depending on wind direction and tides. The water area is influenced by tides, with a sandbar located several hundred meters from shore. At high tide, water rises to the dunes, making the best sailing conditions at falling or low tide. Southeast winds generate nice waves, while southwest winds flatten the water to offer ideal flat conditions for freeriding. The kitesurfing season runs from mid-July to late September, with pleasant water temperatures between 19 and 23°C. Outside of sessions, the beach offers many activities such as sea glass collecting, swimming, and walking along the shoreline. The atmosphere is friendly and the rider community is welcoming.
