The Lagoon is a kitesurf spot located on the island of Newfoundland, near St. John's. This coastal lagoon offers a semi-sheltered body of water, ideal for riding with relative protection from ocean swell. Dominant southwest and westerly winds provide regular conditions, while northeast winds also bring interesting sessions.
The lagoon is affected by tides that change the depth and rideable surface. At low tide, some areas can become too shallow. The spot is accessible and suits intermediate riders thanks to the lagoon's natural protection. The water remains cold even in summer, and a wetsuit is necessary from May to October.
