Pond Road is a kitesurfing spot located on the Avalon Peninsula in Newfoundland, in Conception Bay, not far from Manuels Beach. This spot offers direct access to the Atlantic Ocean with often sustained wind conditions. The water area is exposed to west and northwest winds which are the most favorable. Atlantic tides influence the depth and currents. The water remains cold year-round, requiring a thick wetsuit (5/4 recommended). The kitesurfing season runs from July to September. This spot is suitable for intermediate to advanced riders who enjoy North Atlantic oceanic conditions.
