La Baliza is a kitesurfing spot located on the Atlantic coast of Patagonia, near Viedma and El Cóndor, at the mouth of the Río Negro. This spot offers varied sailing conditions with flat water in the estuary and waves on the ocean. Prevailing winds blow from the west and northwest, typical of Patagonia, with often strong intensities (20-35 knots). The spot hosts the annual national kitesurfing gathering "El Cóndor Vuela" every April. Suited to advanced riders due to powerful winds and changing conditions.
