Matanzas is the kitesurfing capital of Chile, located in the O'Higgins region. This spot offers remarkably regular and powerful thermal wind. The Matanzas breeze blows from the northwest in side-onshore between 15 and 25 knots, picking up around 10-11am. The "surazo" (south wind) also brings sessions of 3-4 consecutive days. Season from August to April. The spot is suitable for intermediate to advanced riders. Note: potential duplicate with spot ID 2757.
