Overview

Nice little spot located at the mouth of the Versoix river. Very technical spot for launching, but once on the water it's great.
 
The spot is located in a public park where kitesurfing has been officially prohibited by regulations for many years. However, in practice, kitesurfing is tolerated both on the beach and on the water.

Grassy area to prepare your gear and water entry through pebbles. Be careful, it gets very crowded during the high season. Pack and deflate kites that you're not using.

Spot functioning
Always set up your gear on the grass as the launch and landing beach is too small. Inflate your kite and connect your lines on the grass.
Then, move to the beach with your equipment. Lay out your lines and the kiter gets into the water, the kite stays on the beach with the launcher. The launcher launches the kite from the pebble beach.
 
Priority to the rider entering the water to leave space for those who want to exit the water and others who want to prepare to get in the water.
 
Equipment on the grass must be deflated to leave space free for other users.

On the water
For downwind drift, not many escape routes!
The beach is about 50m long, after that there are many private gardens and beautiful houses!
Parking
The ideal parking for the Versoix spot is the Migros parking lot. It's the ideal location relatively close to park.
It's free, don't forget your blue parking disc, and a small path takes you directly to the beach in 3 minutes by foot.
No improvised parking or you risk getting access closed for kiters.
Wind specificities
Bise (north-easterly wind) spot with a small venturi effect due to the narrowing on the small lake. In summer, the bay of Versoix, upwind of the spot, works well with thermal winds in the late afternoon (For foilers!). Ideal in Bise, doable in south-west for the more adventurous.
Hazards
The spot is small, there are trees everywhere, rocks. It's clearly a spot for experienced riders.
