Matakatia Bay is a small bay located on the Whangaparaoa Peninsula, north of Auckland. Facing east, this bay offers a sheltered water area in the Hauraki Gulf with a pleasant natural setting. NE and E winds work well here. The spot is suitable for intermediates. Access is via a coastal trail. Preserved natural setting with little infrastructure.
