Thorsminde Strand is a spot on the Nissum Fjord side (not the North Sea side). Huge shallow lagoon with flat water even in strong winds. Located on a 900 m wide peninsula between Nissum Fjord and the North Sea. Mirror-smooth water in easterly winds. Launch from the large meadow at Thorsminde campsite.

Flat, very shallow water in the fjord — fins may touch bottom in places (fins under 25 cm draft recommended). In easterly winds: perfect mirror water. Ideal for freestyle and learning. Large rideable water area.
SEASONAL RESTRICTION: riding allowed from 1 April to 31 October only — Nissum Fjord is a protected nature area. Check permitted zones (Danish environmental regulations). Very shallow zones that can damage fins. Vehicle access to campsite is paid. Supermarket 5 min walk.
