Located offshore from El Gouna on the Red Sea, the Ashrafi archipelago is a true gem for kitesurfers. These small uninhabited islands offer immaculate turquoise lagoons, vast areas of flat and shallow water, ideal for progressing or throwing freestyle tricks. The environment is totally preserved, wild, and accessible only by boat (generally as part of kite cruises). The water is crystal clear, the bottoms sandy, and the total absence of obstacles makes sailing safe. It is one of the most prized spots for kite safaris in Egypt, often considered "kite paradise".

The wind blows mainly thanks to the thermal effect reinforced by the surrounding desert conditions. Dominant orientation: North to Northeast. Average strength: 15 to 25 knots. Regularity: Very stable and constant, particularly from May to September. Frequency: 80-90% of windy days in peak season. Specificity: The wind is often stronger offshore than on the coast, making Ashrafi Islands an excellent choice even when coastal spots are lighter.
