Kitesurf, wingfoil and windsurf spot at the Mesnil-Saint-Père beach access point on Lac d'Orient (Forêt d'Orient), Aube (10). This same lake (2,400 ha) is accessible from several points; this entry covers the main sandy beach between the clubs and Le Calypso restaurant — the easiest launch on the lake, suitable for intermediate riders. Open from first weekend of March to third weekend of October.

When the lake is full, only North-East is reliably rideable. When the lake level is lower, West to North-East sectors all work. Wind can be inconsistent — South-West and North-East are the most productive directions when established.
Navigation fees required at the Capitainerie. Beach spots closed for kite between 15 June and 15 September. Upwind ability mandatory at all spots. Trees can be hazardous for the kite at low lake level. Lac du Temple fully prohibited; Lac Amance off-limits for sailing.
