Neusiedl am See is a spot on the north-eastern shore of Neusiedlersee, near the town of the same name. The lake is extremely shallow (1 to 1.5 m average). Water access is through channels through the reeds that line much of the lake. The prevailing winds are from the north-west and south-east, blowing freely across the Pannonian Plain. The spot is suitable for beginners thanks to the shallow depth.
