Waitangi/Awatoto is a kitesurfing spot located south of Napier, in Hawke's Bay. The spot is near the mouth of the Ngaruroro River, offering a mix of estuarine and oceanic conditions.
Northeast to east winds are onshore, with regular sea breezes in summer. West winds are offshore. Watch out for river currents at the mouth. The bottom is sandy. Spot for intermediate riders.
