Ocean Beach is a kitesurfing spot located south of Hawke's Bay, on the east coast of the North Island. This long, wild beach is exposed to Pacific swell and offers a preserved natural setting.

Northeast to east winds are onshore and create good wave conditions for wave-riding. South winds are side-shore. The sandy beach is vast but isolated, with few facilities. Currents can be strong. Spot for advanced riders due to the isolation and swell conditions.
