Te Awanga is a kitesurfing spot located south of Napier, in Hawke's Bay. This small coastal village is bordered by a pebble beach facing east, in a renowned wine-growing region.
Northeast to east winds are onshore, bringing sea breeze and waves. West and northwest winds are offshore. The beach is made of pebbles, which makes launching more tricky. Swell can be significant. Spot for intermediate to advanced riders.
