Fitzroy Beach is a kitesurfing spot located in New Plymouth, in the Taranaki region, on the west coast of New Zealand's North Island. This urban beach faces the Tasman Sea and enjoys a beautiful view of Mount Taranaki (Egmont). The spot offers surfing and kitesurfing conditions with waves generated by Tasman Sea swell.

The prevailing winds in the Taranaki region come from the southwest, west and northwest. The spot is suitable for intermediate to advanced kitesurfers due to the waves and proximity to the urban area. The water is temperate but a 3/2 to 4/3 wetsuit is recommended depending on the season.
