Meola Reef is a spot located in Waitemata Harbour, west of Auckland city centre. This basaltic reef creates a shallow body of water at low tide, offering unique sailing conditions in an urban setting.
SW to W and NE winds work at this spot. The water area is suitable for intermediates. Be careful of the underwater rocky reef which can be dangerous at low tide. Close to the Westmere and Point Chevalier neighbourhoods.
