Overview

Karoro Rd (K-Rd) is a kitesurfing spot located in the Whangarei Harbour, on the east coast of Northland, near One Tree Point. Access is via Karoro Road. Northeast to east winds are the most frequent. The harbour offers sheltered water. Tides have a significant impact on the rideable area. The bottom is sandy. Spot for beginner to intermediate riders.
